Firstly, apologies the blog has been a little quiet lately! We’ve had chicken pox that has lasted over a month, and I have started a new side business that is taking up some of my time. I think I’m all back in balance again now though 🙂 It’s all about time management! Anyway, since our kids have sick this past while, the use of screens have been used a lot more than usual. After all, when your child is itchy and irritable you will give them anything as a distraction! Hope this isn’t just me.
But I think we reached screen overload a few weeks ago. Currently, our girls wake up and walk into our room to ask if they can play on their kindles. As soon as they are home from school they ask for TV time. When the little man is eating his breakfast he assumes Thomas the Tank will be there to entertain him! It’s reached breaking point. So we’re trying a screen ban for a couple of days in the hope that it will remind them that there are other things to do!
